Kyu (Q) Kim was born on August 16, 1961 in Korea, whereupon
he and his family immigrated to Honolulu, Hawaii in 1975. He
attended Carnegie-Mellon University as an electrical engineering
student. It was during his undergraduate years at CMU that he
met the Lord in a radical and life-changing way. Shortly after, in
July of 1981, he felt the call of God to ministry. He finished his
undergraduate studies in philosophy at the University of
Pittsburgh. Pastor Q received his Master of Divinity degree from
Princeton Theological Seminary and later studied at
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.  Over the past 23 years
he has served as a children's pastor, youth pastor, campus
ministry founder, Christian educational specialist, EM pastor, KM
pastor, senior pastor, and evangelist.

In May of 1985, he met Joy and married her two months later.
He has been happily and Joy-fully married for over 20 years. He
is now the father of three awesome daughters (Anna, Amy, and
Abby).

Pastor Q currently serves as the pastor of H.O.P.E. (House of
Prayer for Everyone) Ministries at the First Korean Presbyterian
Church of Maryland (PCUSA). His desire is to live as a lover of
God and his passion is to see a generation of youth
single-mindedly in love with Jesus Christ.
